The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson is not your average comic, heck it’s not even you average story. When Ennis and Robertson set out to show how the repercussions of powered beings could have adverse affects on people and their surroundings, they did so years before BvsS or Civil War did.

Now Amazon is looking to turn the cult classic comic into a series. Working with some comic geeks with clout, Amazon has tapped Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to produce the show.

In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, The Boys revolves around a group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.
