The Jaime Foxx produced series set in the Californication universe; ‘White Famous’ has been canceled after one season. The series focused on the rising star of young black comedian Floyd Mooney (Jay Pharoah), as he comes to terms with his new found crossover appeal and balancing that lifestyle with his son, his’s son’s mother and the pressure of the entertainment industry.

The show is loosely based on Jaime Foxx’s own personal experience. Showtime’s decision to cancel the show was not much of a shock as the cable network had renewed SMILF, but had no update on White Famous, leaving many to believe it would not renewed.
