Name: Brian “Doc” Holidae

Title: Creative Director / Host / Founder

BIO: Known by many names but always the same loud voice! Doc has been doing Campus radio since he was 17. His first show; “To Much Drama For Yo Mama”, on John Abbott’s CSKY Radio was a hybrid of Rock & Hip Hop.

After graduating from Abbott, Doc went into Communications Studies at Concordia University, where in 2004, he started hosting a weekly Hip Hop show on CJLO titled Phantastiq Cypha and has interviewed the likes of Tech N9ne, Bun B, GZA, Dessa, David Dallas, Shad, Chance The Rapper and even some non-hip hop entertainers like Eliza Doolittle, actor John Cho, and composer Ludwig Göransson and more.

Doc would go on to become the Hip Hip Music Director for CJLO and win Special Music Director of the year in 2009. Not only has he represented the station and University at festivals in New York, Toronto and Australia, Doc has also represented Canada at the first International Radio Festival in Zurich, Switzerland.

Although Doc loved Hip Hop, hosting Phantastiq Cypha solo started feeling pretty lonely and he had always wanted to do something that connected with my other passions: Television, geek culture and the related fandoms. He reached out to a few other like minded blerds and they started a monthly special called #GeektastiqCypha. After a year of that, they turned it into a weekly show and another year later they were on their own producing the show as a podcast exclusively for
