MCU’s “Captain Marvel” has its Mar-Vell?
It is being reported that Jude Law is in talks to play a “mentor” role to Brie Larson‘s, Carol Danvers in the upcoming “Captain Marvel” MCU movie.
He will be playing the person that guides Carol Danvers to control her new found powers Doctor Walter Lawson aka Mar-Vell who is from an alien race called the Kree.
At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Feige announced that the superhero film will be set in the ’90s, before the Avengers ever thought of assembling, and Samuel L. Jackson is expected to reprise his role as Nick Fury.

Netflix is on fire with all of its comedy offerings in the past few years.
Now it’s going to celebrate an institution of black comedy. They are creating a special honour the 25th year anniversary of Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.
First airing on HBO in 1992 originally hosted by Martin Lawrence. It showcased black comedians that would not have otherwise been seen on TV regularly at the time. They included David Chappelle, Eddy Griffin, Tracy Morgan, (the late) Bernie Mac, D.L. Hugley, Aries Spears (of MadTV fame), (the late) Ricky Harris (who played Malvo from “Everybody Hates Chris”), and much more. The show also had legendary DJ Kid Capri, who’s djing would often interact with comedian’s jokes.
The line up for its current special looks extremely impressive, bringing old and new comics together and of course DJ Kid Capri. No details about its format have been shared at this time.
