RFK Limited Series Starring Chris Pine In Works At Hulu | Deadline

Chris Pine is being eyed to play Bobby Kennedy for a Hulu limited series. The series will be based on the 2016 book Bobby Kennedy: The Making Of A Liberal Icon by Larry Tye.

[Chris Pine] is currently filming David Mackenzie’s Outlaw King and will next be seen in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time. Additionally, Pine recently reteamed with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins for One Day She’ll Darken, a six-episode limited drama that received a straight-to-series order at TNT.

HBO Developing Sneaker Store Comedy Produced By LeBron James | Deadline

King James, known for his talent on the court is looking to continue his growth off the court. James has been tapped to replace Michael Jordan in a sequel to Space Jam, however, it is his relationship with the WB via his production company SpringHill Entertainment that is showing promise. James and team are working with Warner Bros. to bring a half hour sitcom to HBO centered around the two sneaker heads and their sneaker shop outside L.A.

HBO has put in development an untitled half-hour single camera comedy about the sneaker culture phenomenon, from LeBron James.

Netflix Acquires ‘Kingsman’ & ‘Kick-Ass’ Comic Publisher Millarworld | Deadline

Netflix has acquired a comicbook gold mind (see what we did there) in Mark Millar’s Millarworld. Known for creating Kingsman, Kick-Ass and Old Man Logan, geeks may know some of his other works; Wanted (that spawned a horrible film adaptation, for which Millar is not to blame),  Nemesis,  Chrononauts  and Supercrooks.

What does the acquisition mean for Millar’s creations? Netflix has done excellent work with their Marvel titles and if that is any indication of what is to come, then this could lead to promising new hero content, outside the norm. Millar’s creations have been known to be edgier and his love for telling stories from the perspective of the morally corrupt is both refreshing and fun.
